Białystok, a city located in the north-eastern part of Poland, impresses with its pace of life. Long strolls in the Branicki Park, eating pizza in the city center, beautiful architecture and the general feeling of a slower way of life leaks from every cell of this amazing city. As soon as you get off the train from Warsaw and walk through the streets of Białystok just for a moment, it’s enough to breathe in its unique atmosphere.
Białystok is located 500 kilometers from Katowice where LEOCODE has its headquarters. As we’ve always worked with great specialists from this side of Poland, it was an easy decision to open our office in the north-eastern capital. Our office is located in one of the best coworking spaces out there, Explorer HQ. Our northern team consists of JavaScript and Ruby programmers who are both back-end and front-end – Node.js, Angular, React, React Native and Ruby on Rails are their specialties.

Our company’s values are being helpful, reasonable and dedicated to building valuable solutions. We like to say that we solve problems for a living because we value people who are solvers, not creators, of issues. We like challenges and we deal with them efficiently. Therein lies at the heart of LEOCODE in Katowice, and now we’re building the same atmosphere in Białystok.
To be able to work creatively and productively one needs a well-defined ecosystem of great coworkers, good coffee, lots of oxygen and the vibe created by doing something fascinating and fun! This is why we’ve packed our Białystok office with plants and ensured that our team has their own LEOCODE mascot – Leon. During the next few weeks, we plan to organize social events in the office to make it into a place where creative people who are passionate about programming meet in Białystok. The first one is planned for a bit later on in October.

But that’s not all. We are only just beginning to transform our office in Białystok. The charm of a well organized local team is that it organizes its life, chooses its goals and the path to achieve them. We want our Białystok office to be as strong as our Katowice one. That’s why we’re going to start an internship program located there. We want to share our knowledge with others and help them to grow their skills. There is a very special method to LEOCODE’s work and how we operate as a tech company. We want this vibe to bloom in Białystok and to enrich its technical community, which is already quite impressive! LEOCODE’s spirit already lives within the walls of our office, and now all we need to do is make it stronger.
