Digital service dedicated for podcasts
Company description
The client is radio with podcasts from Denmark.
Project description
The project was to create a fully responsive website/application in which a potential user can play an episode from a particular podcast. First, the data is gathered on the backend service (WordPress + a custom made API gatherer to provide all needed information for the frontend). The pages are rendered on the server side with some client-side requests. The website collects all the data from all the podcasts and shows them on dynamic sub-pages. It is like Spotify, but only for podcasts. The client wanted to use Next.js for the Frontend as their main requirement was Server-Side Rendering and WordPress for the backend.
What we proposed to the client – our approach & methodology
We had met the client’s needs, and although we did propose some minor changes, we continued with the initial kick-off regardless. We used SCRUM alongside daily meetings with the client and some internal meetings to discuss dev information.
Communication
We had 2-week sprints which involved daily meetings with the client. We were talking with the client via Slack where all the TLDR (too long; didn’t read) was inserted. Due to the COVID situation, all the necessary meetings were remote. We tried to hold some workshops (or workshop dailies) where we presented our thoughts on the work we had to do.
